At Sea Master we understand sustainability as a responsibility to be embraced with dedication and awareness. Not only do we strive to market the highest quality Tuna and Swordfish, processed with mastery and state-of-the-art technology, but we also take care of sustainability in the details, choosing to use polyester-free packaging.
Polyester is widely used in the packaging industry for its characteristics of strength and versatility. However, its effects on the environment are devastating: pollution from microplastics, long degradation and accumulation in our oceans; which is why we at Sea Master use propylene, a recyclable material with less impact on the environment. Propylene offers excellent strength and protection for our products, keeping their freshness and quality intact. In addition, all of our dies are self-made. This gives us total control over the packaging production process, ensuring maximum efficiency and further reducing our environmental impact.
Our decision to move away from polyester and adopt propylene offers multiple benefits:
- Reduced Waste: Propylene is fully recyclable, helping to reduce non-biodegradable waste.
- Less Pollution: By using more sustainable materials, we help decrease environmental pollution, protecting marine wildlife and our ecosystems.
- Consumer Safety: Our packaging does not release harmful substances into products.
- Production Efficiency: In-house die-cut production allows us to optimize processes, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
Adopting sustainable packaging is just one of many initiatives we are implementing to reduce our environmental impact. We are constantly investing in research and development to find innovative solutions that improve the sustainability of our production processes, with the aim of demonstrating that it is possible to combine excellence and respect for the environment.
